Bolen is 6-1 against wrestlers in the coaches rankings with a win over Hidlay only weeks ago.
DePrez’s is 2-0 against ranked opponents with his best win being a decision over #19 David Key.
Kekeisen is 5-0 against ranked opponents with his best win a decision over #6 Dakota Geer.

DePrez’s case is more based on his career body of work but ultimately he was 1-2 against Hidlay and Bolen last year. Kekeisen’s case is strong based on this year’s results but as a freshman he doesn’t have the career body of work against high level competition. As a result, I think Bolen has a legitimate case to stay ahead of them but it is entirely possible he won’t depending on how they balance this season’s results and history.

Now for 133
RBY’s is 2-0 against ranked opponents and his win is a decision over Dylan Ragusin, #11 at 125.
DeSanto is 2-0 against ranked opponents and his best win is MD over Lucas Byrd, #9 at 133.
Myers is 5-0 against ranked opponents and has MDs over #10 Louie Hayes and #11 Jarrett Trombley to go along with the win over #4 Micky Phillippi.

Historically, RBY and DeSanto have a few more big wins than Myers to fall back on. RBY has an 8th place finish and DeSanto a 5th at NCAAs; however, neither has even been a Big 10 Champ previously. I think based on this season’s results and history, DeSanto has a better case to stay ahead of Myers but I don’t think it’s clear that they have the results to deserve to stay ahead with a loss.
